2026 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Movement Electronic Music Festival, and the City of Detroit officially proclaimed May 18–25, 2026 as Detroit Techno Week. The 3 day festival takes place on Saturday, May 23rd to Monday, May 25th. The festival features six stages and over 115 artists

69 (Carl Craig) A leading figure in the second wave of Detroit techno, Craig served as co-creator and artistic director of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 and 2001. In 1991 he launched Planet E with the groundbreaking EP "4 Jazz Funk Classics" under his alias 69. Carl Craig used the 69 moniker as an outlet for more experimental, jazz-funk-influenced, and underground electronic sounds away from his mainstream releases
Collabs 3000 Chris Liebing and Speedy J's project, revived in 2024. The partnership was born out of an improvised back-to-back set at Frankfurt's iconic U60311 club in 2001. Realizing their incredible writing and mixing chemistry, they headed to Speedy J's studio in Rotterdam and subsequently released the track "Collabs 300" in 2004. Their 2025 EP was their first new studio material together in nearly two decades. Catch them at the Movement Stage on Saturday, May 23rd from 7:30PM-9PM.
DJ Minx Active since the early 1990s, she formed the Women on Wax collective and launched its label in 2001, with an unbroken run of performances at Detroit Movement Festival since its inception. This year she will be hosting her very own stage at the Pyramid Stage on Monday, May 25th where she presents House Your Life where DJ Taz, Life On Planets, Tinzo & Jojo, The Ritual with Anane & Louie Vega, and Mochakk. DJ Minx will be closing the stage from 9:30PM-11PM.
Oscar Mulero A Spanish electronic musician who has been a major influence on the Spanish electronic scene since the early 1990s and a leading exponent of underground techno since his productions in the early 2000s. He runs both Warm Up Recordings and PoleGroup Records and will be bringing deep and hypnotic vibes to the Underground Stage on Sunday, May 24th from 7:30PM-9:30PM
KI/KI Amsterdam-based DJ and Producer who's known for her high-energy, eclectic sets that seamlessly weave together euphoric trance, deep acid, and fast-paced techno. She will be making her Movement Debut this year and closing out the Underground Stage on Monday, May 25th from 9:30PM-11PM
